Essential Information

FACILITIES: Cold running water, compost toilets, a shower and wash area with solar heated hot water. There are no electric hook-ups but we can re-freeze your cool blocks and recharge your phone if you need from our solar electric system.

CAMPFIRES: You can have a campfire in a raised firebowl. We have firewood available to buy, and some firebowls for use.

FIREWOOD: You are welcome to help yourself to a crate from the wood store. You are not permitted to collect wood for burning from around the site as we need it as habitat for insects and other wildlife – the insects are vitally important to feed a range of wild creatures.

NOISE: Please be considerate of other people on the site. Quiet time starts at 10pm – do stay up late and enjoy a fire into the night if you wish, but be sure to keep the noise right down after 10pm so other people can sleep/listen to wildlife. We don’t allow amplified music.

WASTE: We ask campers to take all their non-compostable waste home with them, both landfill and recyclables. We welcome all food waste onsite – even meat and dairy – which we can turn into lovely compost. So please leave it in one of our food waste containers. We would be delighted if you would help us with this. Thank you!

COMPOST TOILET: Please read the instructions in the compost toilet carefully – and follow them.

DOGS: Well behaved dogs are welcome, but because we are harvesting fruit from this site, they must be kept on a lead or under close supervision, and their waste collected and disposed of.

Groups: Small groups are welcome.
You will be expected to be considerate to all other guests that are on site at all times.
It is the responsibility of the person booking to make sure all the people in the group are aware of these conditions.
When you book your stay with us you agree to abide by our terms & conditions and our campsite code and should you not do so after we have asked you to, we reserve the right to request that you leave immediately. If this should happen there will be no refund of your fees.

Live-in Vehicles: The site is not suitable for most caravans or large motor-homes. There is no hard-standing for camping vehicles. Camper-vans and sturdy small caravans welcome at your own risk.
